TIMSJIMS

I have been in a Pure Desire Ministries Seven Pillars of Freedom Support and Recovery Group for several months now. It's been amazing! I hope to write more about that in the future. One of the books we have been reading through is PureDesire by Ted Roberts. For this weeks study and homework we read Chapter 13, Kingdom Toughness. The following excerpt is from Page 231:

I'm so grateful that the Father has given me such a great family, such tremendous kids, such a lovely and gracious wife. He has forgiven me so much. He has allowed me to minister in His name. But if I stop and think about it for a moment, one of the things I'm most grateful for are the almosts, for those times that, if I'd kept going, I would've lost everything. If the enemy had pushed one inch farther, I would've collapsed. If the temptation had been one degree more intense, I would've melted. If the Lord hadn't been sovereign on my behalf, I almost . . .

As I read that paragraph it reminded me of my website. This website. And my "first" blog post to it, published on June 19, 2019: "The Darkest Days Of My Life". I encourage you to take a moment to read it again or for the first time right now.  So, I wrote TIMSJIMS.com in the right margin of my book as a note to myself. TIMSJIMS is short for This Is My Story Jesus Is My Song. I thought "Huh?! That's much shorter and easier to remember. It's also likely easier for others to share the website to others since it won't give others the wrong impression that the sharer of the site is also the author. So I quickly went to see if TIMSJIMS.com was available. It is. Or I should say, it was. It is no longer available. I just reserved it and now it forwards to www.thisismystoryjesusismysong.com. That excerpt also reminded me of my post published on September 4, 2019: "Thank God For Our Wives And Lives". Again, I encourage you to take a moment and read it that post again too or for the first time.

I'm hoping to lead and facilitate a book study of Ted Roberts book PureDesire. It's such a wonderful book on it's own and I think beneficial for ALL men to read, regardless of how much or little they struggle with sexual temptation. It's rich with advice regarding our marriages. If you're interested in reading and discussing this book together please let me know by leaving a comment below. Don't worry. Comments are private and require me to approve and make them public and I won't make any public unless you ask me or tell me it's okay to make your comment public. Thank you for reading this far. God loves you. And I do too.
